I would like to let you know of the work of our School'sCouncil. This committee comprises of 2 elected representatives from each class (Y1 toY6), representatives from the Teaching Assistants,Lunchtime Supervisors and the Headteacher (Budget Holder). The aim of a School Council is to provide a voice for our pupils in the running of their school. Our School's Council meets at least once evry half term with class reps. bringing issues and ideas from the children they represent. These become Agenda points and are discussed, minuted and actioned. Mountbatten School's Council has been meeting on a regular basis over the last year and, we believe has proved to be very successful not only in it's achievements but also in providing grown ups with another channel to listen and appreciate pupil's views, opinions and their aspirations for the school.
Class representative, who are elected by their classmates, take their job very seriously and present their arguments convincingly.
